HEADACHES AND CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Headaches are not unusual! Many
Auburn headache sufferers get headache relief with
Auburn chiropractic care. One in 5 new
chiropractic patients come to a chiropractor’s office like
Dr. Le's Chiropractic & Wellness, L.L.C. with a complaint of headache. Headache
patients comprise a sizeable part
of the chiropractic practice, and that’s true for Dr. Le's Chiropractic & Wellness, L.L.C..
Chiropractors many times identify and co-manage
with other healthcare providers. (1) Spinal manipulation therapy (SMT) for
cervicogenic headache is reported to be quite helpful.
For the most benefit, a new study reported that 18 SMT
visits compared with 1, 6, and 12 visits, is most
effective, decreasing cervicogenic headache days by 50%.
Compared with slight massage, SMT also brought
about 3 more cervicogenic headache-free days a month. (2)

TIP OF THE MONTH: Vitamin D for Reduced Migraines
It has been proposed
that the inflammation and a diminished immune system may play
a role in migraine headache. The role of nutrients – vitamin D, vitamin B12,
alpha lipoic acid, CoQ10, magnesium, niacin, riboflavin, and riboflavin - in
the supportive care of migraines is seemingly therapeutic.
(3) A recent study reports that higher
levels of serum Vitamin D (50 to less than 100 ng/mL) reduces
the odds of suffering a migraine headache by 80% to 83% as
opposed to levels below 20 ng/mL. (4) Auburn migraine
sufferers may want to consider improving their
Vitamin D status alongside their Auburn
chiropractic care plan.
