Auburn Exercise Helps Cope with Pain and Aging

"If you don't keep going, you're gonna die." How’s that for a title to a paper?! Dr. Le's Chiropractic & Wellness, L.L.C. was even taken back a bit, but it’s true. No matter your age, your pain, your life plan, we all have to keep moving forward! This is so true for middle- to older-age Auburn back and neck pain sufferers. Fortunately, Dr. Le's Chiropractic & Wellness, L.L.C. is here to help.

ANTI-AGING EXERCISE BENEFITS

We all start considering anti-aging benefits at a certain age! One set of researchers wrote that regular exercise has multi-system anti-aging effects and called for more research to acquire knowledge of just how molecular mediators of exercise benefits function in older folks rather than just turning to pharmaceuticals. (1) Dr. Le's Chiropractic & Wellness, L.L.C. enthusiastically agrees! Walking is great! This an important message for all Auburn pain sufferers!

BENEFICIAL DAILY EXERCISE STEPS

Take a walking stroll each day with a goal of 7000 steps. Why? Research. 2,110 black and white men and women and their steps-per-day counts were followed. They sported an accelerometer from 2005 to 2006 and then were monitored for a mean of 10.8 years. Their stats were examined in 2020 and 2021 to see what, if any, association was found between steps-per-day and all-mortality death risk. This study was part of the larger CARDIA (Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults) study. Steps-taken-per-day were described as “low” (less than 7000), “moderate” (7000-9999) and “high” (more than 10,000). Stepping intensity – stepping rate – played a role, too. Moderate/high step rate was associated with a decreased risk of mortality in black and white women and men in middle-age who took 7000 steps or more a day compared with those who took less. (2) Dr. Le's Chiropractic & Wellness, L.L.C. witnesses how walking helps – 7000 steps or not – and urges Auburn chiropractic patients to walk what they can. Any walk works!
